Regular readers of this Blog will know that I am really excited to be taking part in ARThouse – Richmond Open Studios again for the second year.
Now in its 20th year, this fantastic event, co-ordinated by Richmond Arts Service, showcases the work of more than 500 local artists offering a whole range of creative skills and talents. The artists either open their studios or display their work in various venues which gives visitors a wonderful opportunity to meet the artist and learn about their artistic processes.
I am delighted to have been invited to display and sell my mosaics at the Harris + Hoole Coffee Shop in St. Margarets, Twickenham. It is a fabulous coffee shop with delish food and great drinks, a wonderfully busy, vibrant location with a lovely, friendly atmosphere. I think it is the perfect venue for me and Steph the Manager seems as excited as I am to be involved in this prestigious art festival.
The Festival takes place over 2 weekends 26-28 June and 3-5 July. However, Steph asked me to put my work up in the coffee shop this week so I am exhibiting from now until the end of the event with the ability to sell and take commissions. Neil did all the hanging and fixings – he had a great eye and seemed to know exactly which pieces should go where. It made the installing process swift and easy so that there was time for a delicious lunch – yummy spinach and feta muffins.
I have lots of promotional materials and brochures listing all the artists (I am number 53), contact details and venues. Please let me know if you want a brochure. You can also get loads of info from the website: www.arthouseopenstudions.co.uk
REQUEST: Are you able to display a poster or distribute invitation cards for this event? If so, let me know and I can send you batch. Many thanks.
