Have had a fantastic weekend exhibiting at the South Street Gallery. Thank you to everyone that came to see us. It was nice for people to meet Lesley and see the new Gallery. I sold quite a few items and have some interest for commissions and mosaic lessons so a success all round. I will give a full report in my next Blog.
At the exhibition (which is still on for the next 2 weeks), I am having a ‘Silent Auction’. This piece is inspired and copied from an original by world renown mosaic artist Martin Cheek. The Guinea Fowl is made of ‘smalti’ with glass tesserae background. It is approx. 18 inches high by 12 inches across. If you would like to ‘bid’ for this piece, please email me your name, phone number and amount of your bid. Bidding starts at £30. At the end of the exhibition, the piece will go to the highest bidder. All money raised from this piece will go to 2 domestic abuse charities.
Please support this good cause and do pop into the exhibition if you get a chance.
